Welcome to MinglMe!
MinglMe is a digital platform that facilitates ticket sales for activities and enables interaction between users with the aim of creating genuine and meaningful connections. By creating an account and using our service, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully before getting started.
1. General
MinglMe’s role
MinglMe provides a digital platform for the facilitation of ticket sales for activities arranged by independent third-party providers (“Hosts”).
MinglMe does not act as the organiser or seller of activities, but solely as an intermediary acting in the name and on behalf of the Host.
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) apply between you and us and govern your use of the Service.
The “Service” refers to the digital services provided by Mingel Me AB, company registration number 559510-0610 (“MinglMe”, “we”, “us”), via www.minglme.com, the MinglMe web application, and the facilitation of ticket sales for activities (“Activities”) that are arranged and provided by independent third-party providers (“Hosts”).
MinglMe is not a party to the agreement between the Participant and the Host regarding the Activity itself, and only provides the platform, booking system, and payment facilitation.
By “you” we mean any person who has a user account (“User”), is a paying user (“Member”), has purchased a ticket for the purpose of participating in an Activity, or participates in an Activity (“Participant”) and thereby uses the Service.
By becoming a User or Member and using the Service, this agreement enters into force. You accept these Terms and confirm that you have read MinglMe’s Privacy Policy. Personal data is processed in accordance with MinglMe’s Privacy Policy as applicable from time to time.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account with MinglMe and starting to use the Service, you accept these Terms.
In connection with registration, a subscription is also initiated in accordance with section 5. The first period is free of charge and provides insight into features and offerings; however, you may not purchase a ticket for an activity during the trial period without activating your subscription.
If you wish to purchase a ticket for an activity during the trial period, you will be informed during the booking process that your subscription will be activated and converted into a paid subscription.
3. User Account
3.1 Eligibility
To create a user account and use the Service, you must: be at least 18 years of age, have the legal capacity to enter into agreements under Swedish law, provide accurate information during registration, provide a valid payment method, and accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
3.2 Responsibility
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity conducted through your account. MinglMe does not have the technical ability to verify the identity of individuals registering for the Service and assumes no responsibility for underage use that is not detected in time. Providing false information may result in immediate suspension. The User is responsible for being able to verify their age with valid identification upon request.
3.3 Communication and information responsibility
MinglMe communicates with users via the email address provided during account registration. The User is responsible for ensuring that the provided email address is correct, active, and regularly monitored, and that messages from MinglMe are not blocked or filtered as spam.
Information regarding bookings, confirmations, changes, cancelled activities, or other material information shall be deemed received when sent to the registered email address.
MinglMe is not responsible for consequences arising from the User’s failure to review such information. Failure to read emails, technical issues on the User’s side, or failure to monitor inbox or spam folder does not constitute grounds for refunds, rebooking, or other compensation.
3.4 Personal use
The account is personal and may not be shared with third parties. The Service may only be used for private and non-commercial purposes. You are responsible for all activity on your account and for protecting your login credentials.
3.5 Prohibited use
The Service may not be used for illegal purposes or in a manner that may be perceived as offensive or abusive. In the event of violations, MinglMe reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account.
4. The Service
The Service consists of a digital platform where users can:
– discover activities
– book and pay for tickets
– interact with other users
All Activities are arranged by independent Hosts. MinglMe acts solely as an intermediary for booking and payment in the name and on behalf of the Host and is not the organiser, supplier, or provider of any Activity. Agreements regarding participation in an Activity are entered into directly between the Participant and the respective Host.
The facilitation of bookings may take place subject to the application of selection criteria in accordance with section 4.1.
4.1 Platform selection and grouping
To create meaningful, safe, and relevant connections, MinglMe applies selection criteria when facilitating bookings for Activities. Such criteria may relate, for example, to age ranges, group size, and the composition of booked participants. The purpose is to provide participants with the conditions to meet others in a similar life stage and social context.
Selection and grouping concern solely how bookings are facilitated via the platform and do not imply that MinglMe arranges, provides, or is responsible for the content, execution, or quality of the Activity. Selection and grouping are carried out automatically and/or administratively within the scope of the Service and form part of the platform’s functionality, not of the Activity. MinglMe does not guarantee any specific participant composition and reserves the right to adjust groupings to the extent reasonably necessary to maintain the quality and functionality of the Service.
5. Payment terms and subscription
When you create an account, a subscription to MinglMe’s Service is automatically initiated. The first period is free of charge and allows you to explore the platform’s features and offerings at no cost.
After the free period, the subscription converts into a paid monthly subscription that continues until terminated. The applicable subscription fee is presented at the time of registration. By creating an account, you confirm that you are aware that a subscription is initiated, including the terms for the free period and the transition to a paid subscription.
You may cancel your subscription at any time, including during the free period. If you do not cancel before the free period ends, you agree that the subscription will continue and that payment will be charged in accordance with the applicable terms.
Payment is made in advance for each period via the payment method you have selected. Payment is handled by a third-party provider. Failure to pay may result in your account being paused or terminated.
5.1 Ticket purchases during the trial period
Ticket purchases for an activity are only available to paying members. If you, as a user during the trial period, wish to purchase a ticket for an activity, you will be informed that a paid subscription is required, given the opportunity to approve immediate activation of the subscription, and charged according to the current subscription price.
By proceeding with the ticket purchase, you consent to your account being immediately upgraded to a paid membership.
5.2 Payment & VAT
When purchasing a ticket for an Activity, payment is made via MinglMe acting as a payment intermediary. The Host is the seller of the Activity and is responsible for pricing, the applicable VAT rate, and VAT reporting. MinglMe collects payment from the Participant on behalf of the Host and transfers the ticket revenue to the Host in accordance with the applicable agreement between MinglMe and the Host.
6. Right of withdrawal
A 14-day right of withdrawal applies to the subscription from the date you created your account, in accordance with the Swedish Distance Contracts Act. You manage your account and may cancel the subscription under “My Profile”. For terms regarding the right of withdrawal for tickets to activities, see section 7.2.
7. Activities and Hosts
Activities are arranged and provided by independent Hosts. The Host is fully responsible for the content, execution, safety, quality, permits, staffing, equipment, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations relating to the Activity.
MinglMe is not responsible for the execution of the Activity and is not a contractual party in the relationship between the Participant and the Host. The Host is responsible for the execution of the Activity regardless of how bookings have been grouped or facilitated via the platform.
7.1 Minimum participants
An Activity may require a minimum number of participants to take place. If the minimum number of participants for a specific Activity is not reached, the Host reserves the right to cancel the Activity and MinglMe will execute the refund of the amount you have paid using the same payment method used at purchase.
7.2 Ticket purchases & right of withdrawal
Payment is made via the specified payment methods and includes VAT, unless otherwise stated.
Pursuant to the Swedish Distance Contracts Act (2005:59), no right of withdrawal applies to tickets for activities with a specific date or a fixed time period. Ticket purchases are therefore generally binding, unless the Host expressly offers a refund.
MinglMe acts exclusively as an intermediary for the ticket purchase and is not the seller of the Activity. Any terms regarding refunds, rescheduling or cancellation are determined by the Host in accordance with applicable law.
If a refund is offered by the Host and the applicable conditions are met, the refund will be processed using the same payment method as used for the purchase, within thirty (30) days from receipt of the request, adjusted for any external transaction fees that are not refunded by the payment service provider.
MinglMe does not compensate Participants who are unable to attend due to illness, medical reasons, or other personal circumstances.
MinglMe follows and enforces the Host’s refund, rescheduling and cancellation terms, but makes no independent decisions regarding compensation beyond what is required by mandatory law or expressly instructed by the Host.
7.3 Changes to an Activity
If the Host, or MinglMe acting on the Host’s behalf, prior to the start of an Activity, needs to change the time, date, location, or another material aspect of the Activity, the Participant will be informed by email as soon as possible.
The Participant has the right to:
– participate in the Activity at the new time and location, or
– decline participation and, where applicable, request a refund of the amount paid.
Any refund will be processed without additional fees within thirty (30) days of the Participant’s request.
MinglMe shall not be held responsible for changes to an Activity resulting from force majeure or decisions made by the Host.
7.4 Cancellation of an Activity
If the Host, or MinglMe acting on the Host’s behalf, is forced to cancel an Activity, the Participant will be informed by email as soon as possible. In the event of cancellation, the Participant is entitled to a refund of the full amount paid, where applicable. Refunds will be processed without additional fees within thirty (30) days from the date the cancellation notice is communicated.
7.5 Allergies, special diets, and participant responsibility
For activities where food or beverages are included, the participant is responsible for notifying any allergies, food intolerances, or requirements for vegetarian or vegan options no later than 48 hours before the start of the Activity.
This responsibility applies regardless of whether reminders, prompts, or information have been provided by MinglMe or the Host.
Special dietary requirements not reported within the specified timeframe cannot be accommodated. If the participant is unable to participate in or fully utilize the Activity due to failure or late notification, the right to use the ticket is forfeited.
No refund, rebooking, or other compensation will be provided.
7.6 Health requirements and responsibility when participating
Participation is at your own risk. You are responsible for assessing whether an activity is suitable for you and whether you are sufficiently healthy to participate without risk to yourself or others.
If an accident or incident occurs due to lack of attention or participation despite unsuitable health conditions, MinglMe is not responsible. Where necessary, MinglMe or the Host may require you to sign a liability waiver.
7.7 Code of conduct
Participants must follow the code of conduct to ensure a safe and positive environment:
Treat others with respect and kindness.
Follow the Host’s instructions and report inappropriate behavior.
Act responsibly and respect your own and others’ boundaries, including in relation to alcohol consumption.
7.8 Responsibility and safety
Participants undertake to:
Follow the Host’s instructions, safety guidelines, and rules.
Respect the code of conduct and these Terms.
MinglMe may suspend or terminate accounts or memberships in the event of rule violations.
MinglMe is not responsible for damage arising from:
Other participants’ behavior or negligence.
Breaches of the code of conduct.
Force majeure or unforeseen events beyond MinglMe’s control.
7.9 Exclusion
Participants who violate the rules may receive:
Warnings for minor violations.
Exclusion in cases of serious violations or risks to safety and well-being.
Examples of serious violations include intoxicated behavior, health risks, harassment, or inappropriate conduct.
Consequences:
No compensation upon exclusion.
Potential loss of the right to participate in future activities.
In cases of serious violations, MinglMe and the Host may report the matter to authorities.
7.10 Travel as an Activity
These Terms of Service do not apply to travel services advertised in the Service.
Such services will be subject to an agreement entered into directly between the Member or User and the travel organiser. Please refer directly to the relevant Host’s terms and conditions.
8. Rights
All intellectual property rights to the Service, including technical solutions, design, source code, trademarks, and content, belong to MinglMe or its licensors. You may not copy, modify, or distribute material covered by these rights unless expressly permitted by the Service. MinglMe is a registered trademark owned by Mingel Me AB.
Content and information you register in the Service remain yours. MinglMe does not claim ownership of user-generated content and processes such content only in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
9. Our responsibility
The Service is normally available 24/7, but uninterrupted access cannot be guaranteed. Availability may be affected by external factors, system maintenance, or updates.
We reserve the right to modify, develop, or discontinue all or parts of the Service without your consent. You are not entitled to compensation for changes or service interruptions.
The Service may contain links to third-party websites or applications, for which we are not responsible.
For Activities, each Host is responsible for offerings and quality regardless of how booking, grouping, or communication has taken place via the Service. MinglMe does not guarantee access to specific Hosts or Activities.
10. Limitation of liability
MinglMe is not responsible for the quality, safety, execution, or outcome of Activities, as these are performed by the respective Hosts.
MinglMe’s liability is limited to providing the digital Service, including the booking system, subscription functions, and payment facilitation.
MinglMe is not liable for damages, losses, or claims arising in connection with an Activity, except to the extent required by mandatory law.
11. Changes to the Service
MinglMe reserves the right to update, modify, or temporarily suspend the Service at any time. In the event of material changes affecting your subscription, you will be informed via email or in the app. Changes to service features (e.g. removed features) do not entitle you to compensation.
11.1 Price changes
If MinglMe changes the subscription price, you will be notified via email at least 30 days before the change takes effect. You have the right to cancel the subscription free of charge before the change takes effect.
12. Changes to the Terms
MinglMe may update these Terms from time to time.
In the event of material changes affecting the User’s rights or obligations, MinglMe will inform the User in advance via email and/or through clear information in the Service.
For minor changes or clarifications, the Terms will be updated on the website with an updated “Last updated” date.
The User is responsible for keeping informed of the applicable Terms. The Terms published on the website at any given time constitute the current version.
Continued use of the Service after the updated Terms have entered into force constitutes the User’s acceptance of the changes.
13. Governing law and dispute resolution
Swedish law shall apply to these Terms.
Any dispute arising in connection with the Service shall first be resolved through dialogue between the parties. If the dispute cannot be resolved in this manner, it may be brought before a Swedish court of general jurisdiction.
